Guys, so WHAT YOU ARE READING NOW is what REALLY happened to bridgit mendler in the past four years. This world has to know the truth. After good luck charlie ended Bridgit Mendler had nothing to do with Disney. They offered her nothing so she was free and out of work.
By then, Bridgit's second album was 90% over. At that time, NBC called her & offered her a role in the sitcom Undateable. As she was signed to Hollywood records & Disney then, she asked them permission saying that NBC offered this. They said okay & gave her permission to do that role.
By then, 90% of bridgit's second album was over but Hollywood Records never took her music seriously & always neglected her. So then, NBC asked bridgit if she can record a title song for the second season of Undateable. As Disney & HWR already gave her permission, she said yes & the song was recorded & released.
After this, when she casually called her representatives once to talk about something, they recklessly informed her saying that her record deal with hollwood records WAS BROKEN because of the song she recorded. They told her that Hollywood Records didn't like the fact the Bridgit recorded the song which eventually comes under Warner bros as Undateable is an NBC show. Bridgit was shocked & depressed on hearing that. They also told her that they couldn't release her second album (which was already 90% done) & it will be actually stalled forever. She went through lot of pain because all of this & for 4 years, she became silent & never spoke about this anywhere.
She always smiled & kept everything as a secret. She also said that when this whole Hollywood records thing was going on, she told to her herself that she's not the first person to face all these consequences from Hollywood records. She told that she saw many people suffer like this & she also mentioned Miley Cyrus name in the interview. She was quoted saying "I LOVE MILEY CYRUS. SHE SOMEHOW HELPED ME TO GET OUT OF HOYWOOD RECORDS. IF MILEY WENT THROUGH ALL THIS SHIT & CAME OUT OF THIS AS A WINNER, I CAN ALSO DO THIS".
She suffered a lot & came out of Hollywood records. But she didn't forget to thank Disney as they gave her the role as Teddy Duncan. She's an independent artist now. Hollywood records broke her contract without even informing her after she sang the 'undateable' song with warner bros(even after she took permission from them). They never allowed her to release her second album which was 90% over in the starting of 2014 & she was never given permission to release them & also, they will be stalled forever. She had to go through so much pain because of Hollywood records. After hollywood records broke her contract without even telling her, she had to face problems in her personal life bcuz her relationship with Shane Harper was on rocks. They both broke up(& ATLANTIS song is about him).
When she was going through all this shit, she said in an interview that she got to explore her inner self & found out who she really is & started to write new music. She didn't want to sign with any record label cuz she thought they'd limit her freedom. She herself without any support from anyone went to all offices including vevo, spotify, shazam to release 'ATLANTIS' which you are hearing it now(NO ARTIST WOULD NORMALLY DO THIS). She said "I'M MY OWN REPRESENTATIVE NOW. I'M DOING EVERYTHING ON MY OWN.)
So, she's an independent artist right now. She also thanked her fans(Bridgit's fandom name is "MENDIES") for supporting her when no one else did. So this is what happened & this is the truth. Knowing many other personal things which she told fans when she was hosting secret listening parties worldwide before releasing Atlantis totally broke my heart. Those are meant to be kept as secrets. I'm a fan of Bridgit & we call ourselves "MENDIES". Mendies will always be here for Bridgit to support her no matter what. So guys, please support Bridgit & her new music.
